Tuna Burgers

6 -8 hamburger buns

7 oz. can of tuna

1 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup chopped pickles or olives or green relish drained

1/2 cup diced or shredded American cheese (cheddar works well)

1/4 cup mayo or miracle whip

1 small onion minced

Salt & pepper


Mix all ingredients together. Add salt & pepper to taste.

Split buns and butter. Fill with filling. Wrap in wax paper or foil.

Just before serving heat on a baking sheet in moderate oven (350F) for 20 minutes.

These freeze well.

Cook's Notes: This is a recipe I remember my Mom (Adele) making but I forgot about, but really enjoy.
