Peanut Bars by Nonie (Grandma Lovisa)

Ingredients
Bars:
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 TBSP. butter-melted
1 cup boiled milk---cooled
Topping:
16 oz. Spanish peanuts
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
Milk
Directions
Mix together. In 9 x 13 greased pan, bake at 350 degrees oven for 20minutes. Cool. Then cut in approx. 1 1/2 inch squares.
Crush a 16 oz. pkgs. of Spanish nuts. Make a frosting of 2 cups powdered sugar or more if needed, 1 tsp vanilla and enough milk to make it runny.
Dip the cake square in frosting, then in crushed peanuts. Let set before putting in a container.
If 2 people make them together, it's less messy ..one to roll the cake in frosting, the other in the peanuts.......Husband and Wife .... Togetherness!
