Cut Out Cookies

I don't just make these on holidays, I also have made "sunshines", little "feet and hands", all different shapes for all different occasions.

Preheat oven to 400º

2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
4 TBSP milk
2 TBSP vanilla

Mix well, then add;
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder

Mix well and chill for about a half hour.

On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to approximately 1/4" thickness.

Cut with cookie cutters. Place 1" apart on cookie sheets.

Bake at 400º 16-10 minutes or until edges are lightly brown. Cool completely. Decorate.

I use canned vanilla frosting tinted to whatever color(s) needed and all different kinds of "sprinkles"
