Submitted by Patti Wilson 1 medium onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 red pepper, chopped 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained 1 small can sliced water chestnuts, chopped 1 carrot, thinly sliced 1 garlic clove, minced 4 cups cooked rice 1/4 to 1/2 soy sauce pepper - to taste butter
Sauté onion, green and red peppers, carrots and garlic in a little butter, adding some pepper. Mix in mushrooms and water chestnuts. Add rice and soy sauce, mix gently. Add more pepper, garlic, and soy sauce to your taste.
I have also added cauliflower and broccoli.
