Barb's Broc-slaw

1 bag of broccoli slaw

2 bags of oriental noodles


Mix the two spice mixes from the oriental noodle bags with

1/4 c sugar

1/4 c vinegar

1/3 c olive oil (you can use regular cooking oil if you like)

Shake in glass container and refrigerate.


In frying pan mix:

1 Tbsp. butter,

1/2 bag of sliced almonds and

Sprinkle with sugar

Stir constantly until browned.


Put both packets of oriental noodles in boiling water.  (I like to keep them long, some people prefer to break them up.)  It should take about a minute or two for them to be cooked.  Rinse with cold water.


Mix broc-slaw, cold rinsed oriental noodles and the dressing you made.  Top with toasted almonds.


Cook's Notes: The great thing about this recipe is, you can cook the noodles, make the salad dressing, brown the almonds in the morning, and throw it together just before eating.
