Grasshopper Pie

Here is a dessert that I make in March for St. Patrick's Day

 

Filling:

Melt 28 Marshmallows with 1/2 cup milk in microwave

Cool in fridge

 

Crust:

18 Oreos - crushed (food chopper)  

Mix in 4 Tbs. soft butter or margarine  

Press in pie pan and chill   (Reserve some crumbs for top garnish)

 

When all are cool    

Fold 1 oz. green crème de menthe and 1 oz. white crème de cocoa into marshmallow filling.  

 

Beat 1/2 pt. whip cream until still and fold into marshmallow filling.

I also add a few drops of green food coloring to make it greener.

 

Put in pie crust and sprinkle reserved crushed Oreos.

 

Keep in freezer until serving.
