Chicken Breasts and/or Pork Chops in Gravy

5 or 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or center cut pork chops   (you can mix and have some of both - the pork helps make better gravy.) 

1/2 cup sliced onions

1 clove garlic

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can water

Salt and pepper

 

Brown the meat on all sides.  Remove from pot, and cook the onions and garlic.  Add the soup and water and stir until smooth.  Return the meat to the pot and cook on low for 1 hour.
