6 squares semi or unsweetened chocolate 3/4 cup butter 6 eggs 3 cups sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups flour 2 cups chopped walnuts
Melt chocolate and butter over hot water; cool. In large bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat eggs, sugar, vanilla & salt until well blended. Add chocolate mixture; beat at medium speed for 5 minutes. Stir in flour & nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9x9 pans. Bake at 325 for about 45 minutes, or until brownies pull away from sides of pan.
Glaze (I'm not a big glaze or icing fan on brownies...but this one is yummy!) 2 squares chocolate, melted and cooled 1 Tbsp. butter 1 1/2 cups icing sugar dash salt 1/4 cup hot milk
Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Immediately spread over brownies.
Cook's notes: Here's my recipe for the BEST Brownies EVER!!! I'm not sure of the exact serving size, but it's a pretty big recipe...makes 2 full square cake pans. |
